Who Is Sarah?

I am visionary leader and public sociologist with over 25 years of combined experience in various sectors, including federal and state agencies, for-profit, and non-profit organizations. As a woman veteran with multiple deployments in support of combat operations during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, I bring an unparalleled perspective shaped by my personal and professional experiences. My own journey of adaptability, resiliency, and diverse roles as a university and outdoor educator, social scientist, nurse, crisis responder, victim advocate and project manager has fueled my passion for praxis—the fusion of theory and action-oriented practices.

My dedication to overcoming barriers and identifying strengths, both internal and external, led me to pursue formal education and work opportunities aimed at improving quality of life outcomes for veterans, and other underserved groups. Driven by the transformative ability of praxis, I am committed to restoring hope and empowering others. I embrace the benefits of curiosity and beauty of the learning process to foster authentic and intentional states of consciousness for individuals and institutions alike, with the ultimate goal of creating a more just world. As the Founder/Executive Director of The Praxis Promise Coach, I am dedicated to serving those who serve. My leadership is characterized by a revolutionary approach to inquiry, discovery, and practical applications of courage, inspiring meaningful change and fostering a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging and empowerment through consciousness- raising practices.
